Whippet How Hot Is Too Hot For A Whippet?

How hot is too hot for a whippet? - whippet

If you do not know what a greyhound then you can not help me, because they are a race are very delicate and sensitive. I ask the owners of greyhounds: Is there a pool and paddling pool, drinking water and a kennel in the dark enough to remain calm during the warm afternoons of Texas Greyhound (heat index 90-115)? This is my first greyhound.

The temperature will not harm your Whippet, but look what the humidity causes the heat index. Panting, works just like a cold swamp, so that the humidity really takes a lot of metal on the ability of dogs to keep cool. The breeds of the world to a very hot do these ole 'Tho. "

Greyhounds have little body fat. This means that we do not do well in heat or cold. Even layer of very little to protect against the elements. They are prone to skin cancer, because of lack of accommodation and its tendency to SO
Your Whippet should be a dog kennel. He should go if he wants to go or if you out of it. Whippets and I live in Texas. It's too hot and too wet for any dog to walk, even with a pool and shade.
Where'd you get your Whippet? I do not know any rescue or breeder who would allow someone has a greyhound they knew that they remain abroad during the summer in Texas.

Whippets are not on the outside during the cold adapted ... because their fur has the insulation be protected. But when it comes to heat ... Make sure your dog has adequate shade, and the many hot days, do your best to keep your dog inside, for they can sunburn. (Yes, dogs can sunburn!)

Good luck!
