Photocall other studios in the region and ask them what they ask for different types of photos. If you have a background, umbrellas, lighting and lenses quickly, you can create more interest and a better image. So I think they could ask for more.
But if you would start, and only the basics, I say less.
When I say, a high-aperture lens, a 35mm might 1.2f or 1.4f. Just mention, because it is all the way, focus open to blur the subject and the background.
